Coffee with a Crescent and a Star

Bosnian coffee from a Chinese cup. Adding to existing religious symbols: crescent moon, David’s star, cross, this cup offers a new hybrid: star within crescent, sign of realism or market occupation strategy?

These traditional coffee cups with the star&crescent have been on market in Bosnia for over 20 years. They are not that unsusual, actually they are very traditional and have nothing to do with the contemporary religious tendencies in the region...but I have never seen that they are made in China.
